Fred Pieper was born on the 4th of July in 1956 (51 years old) in Paulding County, Ohio. He grew up and lives within a stone's throw of his  grandparent's farm, still being farmed by his uncle and cousin. Education

Military Pieper served our country in the U.S. Navy as an aviator, conducting stealth operations to track location of enemy submarines. He was honorably discharged in 1985.
Financial Experience
Pieper is experienced in all matters financial. He is currently the treasurer of the governing board of a twenty million dollar institution. Responsibilities include strategic planning; asset/liability management; setting dividend, certificate and loan rates; budget development and management; auditing and compliance; review operations and financial status. During Pieper’s fifteen-year tenure, the credit union has grown from a 12 million dollar single office to two offices worth over 20 million. Labor: Lineman, Paulding-Putnam Electrical
Pieper is no stranger to hard work. He has been employed by a rural electrical cooperative as a lineman for fifteen years, installing and maintaining lines as well as troubleshooting electrical problems. He is able to analyze complex situations and find logical solutions. He understands the everyday struggles of ordinary citizens as t hey balance income with bills. Even everyday common expenses, such as making sure the power bill is paid, can be a challenge for many families in hard economic times. Personal Fred is a lifelong resident (except for college and the military) of Paulding County,  Ohio where he resides with his wife, Susan (a librarian). He is lucky to live close to and share in the lives of his two brothers, their children and his mother. Currently Fred and Susan are remodeling an old farmhouse and trying to restore a 100 year old barn nestled within the site of his mother’s homestead and grandfather’s farmland. Each season brings new landscapes of beans, corn and wheat, which provides for a breathtaking canvas on which vivid Ohio sunsets paint the sky.
Religious Views
Pieper is a lifelong member of the Paulding United Methodist Church. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior during a Campus Life youth event when in junior high. Fred is a vocalist and is often asked to share his musical gift at area churches and local events.
Loyal Republican
Past Chair and member of the Paulding County Republican Committee. Fred is passionate about the GOP and is committed to the issues.
Hobbies & Interests The right of citizens to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Fred enjoys trap shooting throughout Ohio. Pieper has enjoyed being a ham operator and enthusiast. Fred believes that ham radio operators will be our first line of communication during times of national emergency and disasters. |
