to the Issues

To the National Defense
America is the strong friend of those who would be bullied on the world’s playground. Fred Pieper is a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He has full confidence in the expertise, knowledge and experience of the officers and soldiers of our military. The defense of our country and our continued commitment to the fight for democracy throughout the world is imperative for a healthy and well protected America. If any individual or group strives to do us or ours harm, they best be prepared to meet with the full power and wrath of our collective citizenry.

To Life
Fred believes in the sanctity of life. He believes God is the creator of all things. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5

To the Economy
Simply put, people need jobs. And they need jobs that will pay the bills. Fred Pieper is committed to the ongoing goal of attracting new business and industry to Ohio’s 5th District. Northwest and north central Ohio is home to an educated and experienced citizenry who are willing and able to ensure goods and products are built and delivered to market. Our infrastructure of federal highways, state and county roads, rail and air service provides transportation solutions for all industry and business.

To the Farmer
Fred Pieper is the grandson of a farming family in Paulding County, Ohio. He lives within a few miles of his family’s farm that is still being farmed by his uncle and cousin. The cost of machinery, potential export markets, emerging and alternative fuel technologies are just a few of the issues facing farm families today.

To the Defense of our Borders
Illegal immigration is a frustrating situation that we have endured for decades. How do we provide for fair labor wages when citizens of other countries sneak across our borders and illegally work and reside in America? Fred Pieper believes that there is still room in our great country for all those throughout the world who feel persecuted and who long for the breath of freedom. But, there is a process, as there was when our ancestors came over. Our borders must be defended against all who would penetrate illegally. Existing laws must be enforced. And those who choose to hire cheap workers illegally should be prepared to be held accountable.
